Staying Active at Home
Since the start of the summer term, we have been running a weekly ‘Staying Active at Home’ photo competition. Primary schools have been sending in pictures of their students taking part in various activities – not just traditional sports but anything that keeps them moving! We’ve also encouraged photographs of exercise diaries, or stories and drawings connected to keeping active.
At the end of each week, we have the difficult task of choosing our favourite photographs. We’re always impressed by the enthusiasm and imagination shown by the students (and their parents!). The winners each receive a goodie bag from the School Games.
We were delighted to receive over 60 entries in Week 1. Thanks for taking part!
Congratulations to the winners of our competition for Week 1. These students will each receive a prize and are from the following primary schools: Springfield, Cliff Lane, Bawdsey, Stratford St Mary and Chelmondiston.
Well done to our winners for Week 2! These students are from the following primary schools: Claydon, Cliff Lane, Henley, Springfield, Stutton and Halifax. School Games’ goodie bags on the way as soon as we’re back at school!
We received nearly 90 photos from our local primary schools of pupils keeping active at home during Week 2. It’s been great to see students coming up with their own ideas, as well as trying some of the online workouts and traditional sports/games.
Great to see the wide variety of ways our primary school pupils are finding to keep active at home! Lots of ingenuity on show eg socks used for tags in garden tag rugby! We received over 50 photographs during Week 3. Thanks to all those schools who sent in pictures. Keep them coming!
Congratulations to the winners for Week 3! Students showing lots of imaginative ways to keep active: string laser, gardening, roller skating, archery, home workouts, baseball and basketball! This week’s winning entries were from the following primary schools: Bawdsey, East Bergholt, Kingsfleet, Springfield, St Pancras and Stratford St Mary. Prizes on the way as soon as we’re back at school.
Well done to the winners of our photo competition in Week 4! Pupils showing how to have fun while keeping active. These students are from the following primary schools: Cedarwood, St Pancras, Claydon and Henley. School Games’ prizes on the way as soon as possible.
